My Story

Kevin Skayro working on a Laptop

I’m Kevin, a self-taught Software Developer, investor, and lifelong learner committed to building long-term wealth through skill development, smart investing, and real estate.

Although I was born in the United States, I spent most of my life in Mexico. In 2016, I returned to the US speaking very little English and started working full-time in a factory. At the time, I knew one thing for sure: I wanted more out of life, and I was willing to work for it.

In 2017, that inner drive turned into action. I began reading books, watching educational content, and investing in myself through online courses. That decision changed everything. It opened my mind to new possibilities and showed me that growth is a skill you can build, regardless of your starting point.

Like many beginners, I made mistakes early on. I launched a few online businesses that didn’t work out, but instead of quitting, I took the lessons and doubled down on learning. I realized I needed real skills and real experience, so I focused on the field that truly interested me: technology.

In mid-2019, I committed to learning software development. After months of consistent effort, I landed my first programming gig in November 2020. One year later, in November 2021, I secured my first full-time role as a Software Developer.

At the same time, I began investing in late 2018 and have been investing consistently ever since, with a long-term goal of building seven-figure wealth and expanding into real estate.

Why I Share My Journey

I document my journey on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook to show what’s possible when you commit to growth and stay consisten, even when the path isn’t clear.

I share:

The wins and the setbacks

The mistakes and the lessons

The systems, habits, and mindset that helped me grow

My goal is simple: to help others get motivated, take action, and build a better future for themselves, whether that’s in tech, investing, or life in general.

If you’re starting from zero, switching careers, or building toward financial freedom, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out blindly.

This is just the beginning.
